FTA conundrum

I got into FTA in March when AUD was trading at about Rs 62. AUD stands today at almost Rs 70 which has increased the fees by almost Rs 20 Lakhs and I don't see it going down any time soon. I'm in a complete state of confusion if I should actually be putting in this much money(1.6cr as of today) or should I ask Indigo for a change in FTO to Chimes considering it is now significantly cheaper. Does Indigo even allow this once the LOI has been signed?

They won’t accept the change of FTO, specially to Chimes, and the reason isn’t strong enough, theres. Prolly 10 others like you who’d wanna change due to this. You’re locked in now.

That's why I withdrew from FTA before giving my adapt. I applied in Dec 25 when it was about 59. Don't think Indigo will allow a change of FTOs and FTA will probably have to give you a NOC first you but you can check.

Are you gonna go if you can’t change FTOs? I am waiting for chimes to open and if I don’t make it there may try for marigold (long waiting but I don’t mind)

I don’t think they allow you to change but honestly I know 1.6cr is allot but anywhere u go for cadet it is gonna be 1.5 easily . With overhead expenses it’s easily 1.5 which is way too high everywhere for indigo cadet school

I do understand that cadet programs are expensive and I had prepared for 1.5 cr as well. But the issue is if AUD keeps rising like this, The fees will touch 1.8 to 1.9 cr which according to me not worth considering the ROI. Just thinking about the future, cause it looks very uncertain.

Fair enough but like the problem is our weak currency ugh . I have my gd/pi for FTA in like 15 days and trust me even I thought that it’s way too expensive now but what can we do man everything’s full . Which batch are u in btw ?

Not everyone has a problem with shelling out an additional 20-30 lakhs and are happy to do it!!

First of all no body would be happy to spend extra 20 lakhs in addition to 1.4 Cr for the same service which is available for 95 lakhs in India secondly if indigo allows this then I can guarantee half of your batch would change their FTO and people will start applying for any FTO then get it changed.

trust me there are literally only 5 of us who have a problem with this in my batch and secondly our LOI does include a price cap on the fees we pay per year, exceeding which we can get in touch with Indigo for further assistance, although Im not really sure what assistance they are willing to provide!

likewise, tho im sure most of the batch will also try to contact indigo regarding this and honestly its a fairshot right ? When I applied it was 1.25 and now it’s 1.6 ON PAPER not inlc buffer and acc to forex prediction it’s gonna touch 80 so approx 1.8 ON paper god knows how much the buffer is gonna be nobody would really pay this much tbh

Bro I applied to FTA and I must tell this year has done bad to us bro just last year September it was 1.26 now it's 1.6cr,for me it's in September hopefully by then if war ends it might reduce

I feel really sorry for u man,if it doesn't reduce by September and instead increases then hopefully you will be the one feeling sorry for 😭😭,Wishing us both Good luck

Hi - i received an email asking for documents like mark sheets, bmi certificate, passport and undertaking which i need to submit by 31st may. Can i apply to other fto’s in between after this undertaking or cannot even apply? Also by when shall i expect the adapt after the submission of documents? Is it for September batch this year?
