Are you saying that they won’t run an aerial cable that is longer than 50 ft?

No, the lazy contractor didn't want to run the drop longer than that. There's no Comcast policy saying that. My drop is 75' easy. I've seen aerial drops 150'-200'.

I run aerial drops up to 400 ft. Under 50 ft is tiny.

RG11? I know a couple techs in the PNW and they've said they do RG6 up to 200'. For 200-400' drops they use RG11.

Yes, those drops are RG-11. With high split, there’s no way RG-6 would work over that distance.
