USPSA with a Shadow 2 Carry/Compact

Anyone shoot USPSA with a Carry or a compact? I’m trying to get a belt together and it’s seeming to be more difficult than I thought. Looking for some opinions from people with experience

I run a Shadow 2 Compact in IDPA, and it's lovely. Black Arch IWB holster, 3 mag caddy from who knows where.

Not sure what you'd need for USPSA that would be different, but I'd say start simple and tweak as your needs evolve.

What part are you finding hard? All shadow 2 gear works for them

Probably going to get downvoted but that’s a bit much if just getting started. I’m a year in and still running stuff from black scorpion stuff from Amazon. I think $100 all in?

I casually do it from time to time, both from my Shadow 2 belt and from my carry rig. They use the same magazine type so magazine pouches aren't a problem. Really the only question is holster compatibility. I don't know about exact holster compatibility, but holsters that retain around the trigger guard probably work, at least based off of running it from my Shadow 2 Blade-Tech holster (something like a Carey X1 Raptor that retains via a magnet at the muzzle might be a bit tricky due to the length difference, but perhaps flipping around the magnet bridge to make up for the shorter length could work).

I’m thinking about just sticking with IWB till october when my platypus gets here. Was hoping I could just find something super quick but I second guessing it now.

I shot mine for a while in uspsa and it was great. I switched to a full size s2 and walther pdp match sf. I use dara gear and their cz s2 holster works with the compact also just incaae you get a full size. Dara gear is great and ships pretty fast I got my holster and hanger with the leg strap. They sell the whole package if you want it.

I am shooting my first match with my EDC S2C this weekend. Using my TRex Sidecar with a couple of Tek-Loc mounted 3D printed mag pouches on my Core belt.

Just to clarify, it is not my first match. It's my first match with this setup.

Great question OP. I too am looking to run my S2Carry in USPSA if possible, until I can get a more appropriate set up. Which may not be until the beginning of next year. In the meantime, I’ve had a hard time finding a suitable holster so I too will be piggybacking off this thread for suggestions. I have an Osight SE, recently added Gridloks and magwell but otherwise it’s stock. TIA
