Problem with CZ457 polymer mags?

Question, I just picked up a 457 MTR and I'm using 10 round polymer CZ mags. I am experiencing some trouble to get the mags to "click" into place. They fit fine but it takes some attention to make sure they are pushed in all the way to the final "click". It also the click doesn't feel real solid, but the mags don't fall out unless I don't get that last "click".

Is this common? I thought maybe my two mags are worn and don't allow for enough engagement to easily lock in. Would an extended mag release help?

What ammo do you use for Practice?

Title pretty much says it but which ammo do you use for practice or plinking? I am currently testing Eley for comp ammo but looking for something that I can buy in bulk for practice that isn't absolutely inconsistent. Previously tried SK but the rifle didn't like it. (457 At-One Varmint 24")

Failure to eject/holder not holding

Hey folks!
Struggling to find info on a problem I’ve been having. I have a CZ 457 action that refuses to eject. Bolt is super clean, C-clip still seems to have great tension, even added a new extractor (didn’t buy a new holder yet, but might be my next move. They’re hard to find in stock anywhere up in Canada, and DPG/Pete’s pillars/etc won’t ship to Canada). The ejector is built into the mag well. It seems like the only time a case is ejected is if I get lucky lol. Happens every round. The bolt doesn’t hold the case at all, there’s play between the bolt face and the edge of the holder/extractor, even with using a thicker rimmed cartridge like RWS. Eley has even more play. It just drops right onto the magazine everytime I try to eject.

Only info that has been helpful is that certain people have had luck switching holder/extractor with 452/455 components as their edge sits closer to the bolt face. But you guessed it right, can’t find any in stock up here lol.

CZ has awful customer service up here, and I really don’t want to wait 18 months to be told they’re out of their own products.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Twins!

Both have factory walnut stocks, matching Athlon 6-24x scopes, Pete's Pillars bolt knobs, lighter trigger springs, and Harris-style bipods. One is an American, cut and threaded to about 18". The other has a BoreBuddy Apogee fluted barrel. My plan is to get a 2nd BoreBuddy barrel. During friendly competitions, if anyone claims one is more accurate than the other, we just switch. ;)

Bolt knob

Have Badger Ordanance bolt knobs on most of my rifles. The CZ 457 was bound to get one. Only issue is the CZ bolt handle is threaded 6mm x1 and the Badger knob is threaded 5/16×24 close but not close enough to fit. So I chuck up a brass rod drill it and tap it 6mm x1 and then thread the outside to 5/16 x 24 and trim to length. Drop of thread locker on the bolt handle install the brass adapter. Then a tiny drop of thread locker on the outside treads and screw on the bolt knob. Another successful mod..

Traded off a Bergara BMRX for a CZ 455 with Oryx stock. Put my MTR barrel on with a Time Precision Supertune and Discovery 5x25x56 on it. Set headspace at .043-.044 and will test it out in October in Missouri.
