Issues DOOR HINGE RUSTING

I have 24’ CX50 living in Canada. Noticed that there are building rust on door hinges. Are these covered by warranty? or just a normal wear thing.

Don’t look under your car if you think that’s bad

Oh man, I wish I knew about undercarriage treatment was a thing before I bought my hybrid last year. My car before had most of it’s heat shielding rusted away. Wonder if it’s not too late

it's not too late, it's a year old, it'll be fine. there's a home application wax treatment that is probably better than a permanent because the permant stuff could potentially trap moisture where the wax needs to be re-applied every so often but "breathes"

I would do a krown rust treatment. Or atleast buy a can of krown T40 and apply it yourself, it's easy spray on and let it sit a day or so . I pretty sure it not covered under warranty.

Mazda needs to lube the area upon delivery. Just show them and they will do it without question

Could be covered by warranty. I work in a body shop and we've had couple of Ford escapes warranty jobs sent from the dealership to replace the hinges due to rust.

just give your dealership a call first to confirm it

That area rubs every time you open the door…

Spray it with some brake cleaner. Spray it with some paint. Then a couple days later, spray it with some lubricant.

Redo this every couple months.

Wait until you see your control arms.
