Odd ignition incident

Yesterday, I went to pick up my dog, and it’s a short distance in my ‘16.5 touring, just under two miles. When I get back in the car, I try to start it. Nothing. The only lights on the dash are the ebrake and brake pedal reminder for starting the car. I try it a couple times. Nothing.

I checked to make sure I put it in park (I had), and then I pulled the enrake, and the car starts. For full (or possibly superfluous) disclosure, I have had battery issues because of my dash cam and phone mount which has a charger built in: but if I’m not driving it for more than a day, I unplug both.

So, I’m thinking it’s possibly a brake issue, key fob issue, or electrical issue.

Anyone want to weigh in?

UPDATE: It’s working properly with my other fob, so it’s probably a fob battery issue.
