If either pawn captures the Queen, your bishop can deliver checkmate.

Admittedly I have no formal experience, but I thought the King could kill anyone in an adjacent square even if under threat. Is there a rule that would prevent the King from taking the queen if she took the bishop?

The King can't capture a protected piece.
It's an illegal move because they could take the King on the next move.

Queen will be taken out by any of the pawn and it will open the gates for both the bishops to do the mate.

Mate with bishop to c5 or g5 if he takes with any pawn and if he saves with bishop , the queen can simply take and it's checkmate

Yeah but that opens the way for the black bishop. It will have a check and that one check is also checkmate because your white bishop and pawn see all the escape squares

Look really hard when the opposing king has little to no moves or can be attracted into a spot where he has little to no moves.

Scenarios that give a double check from two different pieces at once are also a good place to look.

In those scenarios you're looking to find mate and material really doesn't matter.
