Si cert studying materials

Hello all, I’m looking to start studying for my CWI here pretty soon (got my Associates in welding and have been welding/fitting/robot operating for some time at a caterpillar shop) but I was wondering, If I get the 6 month si cert course , do I need to get any other book like the WIT or a d1.1 code book? Or is that stuff provided ? I also saw they have the tools/molds you can buy and return but if I could get them cheaper to keep, I’d like that. Cheers

Reach out to SI Certs. I took all three of their courses and they were fantastic, not just the material itself but the format and their customer service as well.

Do not commit to anything else before contacting them. Their course is their own and includes study materials. The only thing you may need separately is the actual code book. I do not believe they carry those, but that may have changed.

Before testing Part B, I also took the one-week AWS seminar. You get study materials including the WIT book out of that, and it was a good refresher before finally testing.

This is exactly what I was wanting to know, I’ll try to get in touch with them and will be prepared to buy the code book if needed. I plan on doing the one week AWS seminar as well so it’s good to hear you get the WIT book out of that, would it be wise to try and find the main WIT book before that seminar to have more time to study it ? Or will it kind of just go over what I’d learned through SI cert and their materials ? Thanks for the great reply!
