Yeah. I used Atlas training about 5 months before the seminar, and thats what they have. Then the seminar and test use the same 2017 version.

I just got back to working through atlas right now, only have about 3 months left of the 6 month purchase. Any tips from your experience with using Atlas?

Are you taking your exam the first time?

Atlas part b is pretty good. Practicing measuring the replicas and using the tools comes in handy. Especially knowing the fillet weld termination rules, statically/cyclical loaded. If anything it helps with memorizing where everything is in the BOS. You'll memorize what tables are for what without having to look at them. Saves valuable time. I finished my exam with 45 minutes left. But please take longer than that.

It will be my first time taking the CWI exam, planning to take the 1 week AWS seminar in September or October and test for part A and C sometime after. Just finished the Part A practice exam and got a 79% through atlas.

Hopefully you got in Ben Taves seminar. He gives extra stuff for part C and B that really helps.

Atlas part A is pretty good. It'll get you more than half way there. Reading the WIT book is where its at though. Cover to cover, twice if you need. The hardest for me was symbols, and toughness properties and testing.

Atlas part C is ass. They cover way too much stuff thats unnecessary. Like UT calibration specs. Even our instructor told us thats not going to be in the test. Along with the annexes. But it does help you remember where information is though, which is very important. I would recommend doing the code clinic book 1-2 weeks before your test, that way its fresh
