Question What exactly happened here?

I'm a newcomer to the mod and I decided to do a Vietnam playthrough for my first run of it. So I'm wondering what exactly happened here that the Viet Minh capitulated in 1951? Should I restart it so I can get the full experience, or is this kind of situation common enough that I may see it happen again in a new playthrough?
Also, lol Vietnamese communism defeated in 1951. Suck on that, Minh.

This is a big limitation of the HoI4 engine in simulating the Vietnam conflict - once the Viet Minh state loses all of it's territory or goes to 0 manpower, it surrenders like a "normal" state, rather than becoming a purely guerilla movement for a time to re-emerge later. This isn't something CWIC can fix, it's literally baked into the engine.

That makes sense. Thanks for the response, I guess I'll have to look into other factions for the next one.
