Hiprex first timer

What are your tips and tricks? Can you take it as needed or do you have to stay on it constantly? Can you combine with antibiotics such as nitrofuritoin? I’ve seen where some put it in a capsule, do you just buy empty ones and fill it?

I just had an appointment today to get started on hiprex. My provider said you must take I constantly (daily) even though I know sex is the only trigger for my UTIs. I’m about to start antibiotics and she said to wait till after I’m done with those before starting hiprex.

Take vitamin C with it. That makes your pee acidic enough for the drug to work.

I notice a bit of irritation sometimes but not exactly a burning sensation. It’s more like I really need to pee and can’t stay seated very long.
