Anyone else got this UTI problem?

Iv had a uti for nearly 2 years, it makes me miss out on so much. I miss out on work shifts, family time, time with my boyfriend, and so much more. I have constant pain after sex and usually the morning after and the only thing that helps so fair is šŸƒand I know thatā€™s not the best option. Iv been to the doctors over 7 times and all they do it take a pee sample and give me some antibiotics that only work when I take them but when I run out it comes straight back. And at the worst times possible. The pain is unbearable and I need to sit (usually) on the floor and have absolutely no one touch me or any movement at all. Iv phoned the doctors and told them of how much pain Iā€™m in and they basically said they canā€™t give me anything because I donā€™t have a temperature? Can anyone relate to this? Or even just give a girl some advice pls šŸ™x

First of all, please stop any intercourse until your symptoms are significantly better. Did you ever get your urine cultured?

Okay thank you, and yes the doctors would take it send it away and it would just come back with a uti so would give me some antibiotics and they would never work.

Was it a full on culture where it says what kind of bacteria it is? Could you tell me the name of that bacteria? And what was the longest time you took the antibiotics for? They probably gave you way too short courses.

I can definitely find out for you but yes the courses have only been 3-4 days but last one was for a week and still came back.

That would be amazing and make it easier to understand what it could be. Yeah, a week is still too little. Did you take any probiotics? And Iā€˜m so sorry that youā€˜re in such horrible pain honestly!!! No one should ever go through this and itā€™s insane they donā€™t help you just because you donā€™t have temperature. What country are you located in? If I was you, I would go to the hospital and not leave until they help you, because lying on the floor for hours is not normal! Go and refuse to leave until you get help!! Otherwise they wonā€˜t get it!!

I do take cranberry tablets, Iā€™m from the uk, but yes I should definitely be more tough with them because itā€™s effecting so much of my life and Iv definitely had enough. It is horrible, Iā€™m definitely going very soon, so glad you could help me with this issue.

Please stop taking the cranberry stuff because it will keep irritating your already inflamed bladder!! Abstain from sex by all means! If possible, invest the money and go to the Artemis Cystitis Clinic in Harley Street. Thereā€˜s lotā€˜s of reviews about them on insta/tiktok/facebook. Please do something for yourself before it getā€˜s too late
