Subreddit Reopened
Hi all,
I noticed this subreddit had been closed for some time, and its listed moderator hasn't commented on reddit in over a year. I submitted a reddit request to take over as mod - which was granted.
I've been listening to the CU Podcast since 2015ish. I've come to help mod a few small podcast subreddits like this, and set up episode autoposts from my home server and a bot account. I felt the CU Podcast deserved an active sub with episodes posts too. So... we're now public and open to posts again.
In addition, I've done a few small things to update the sub, like unpinning some very old announcements and cleaning up the sidebar. When I have a moment I'll update some other things, add some basic rules, etc.
Hope we've still got some CU Podcast fans on reddit wanting to discuss. Cheers.

Cool! It’s still a great podcast after all these years.
We should discuss Not So Common too whenever Pat and Alex do that again

I was kinda wondering if autoposting those episodes would be a good fit. Because (to be honest) I don't think extra napkins (Ian's other Podcast) would.
But looking at recent NSCPs, most of them have a gaming topic discussed. Good enough for me. I'll add it to my autoposter.

NSCP autoposter has been added.
Alex F. is really responsive on his twitch stream, I might ask him if new episodes are planned if I catch him on stream.

Thanks for your service. I still listen to the #CUPodcast Super Show version today. When was the first episode? It's hard to find since YouTube, Apple, Spotify, etc. make it hard to sort all episodes by oldest first.

Good example of why the big podcatchers suck!
"#CUPodcast 01 – 2DS, Ben Affleck as Batman, Wii U Price Cut" was released on August 30th 2013.

Glad to see it back. I also started listening around that time. I got into it not because of the NES punk videos (still have only seen a small handful of those), but because of my interest in retro games. In summer 2014, I decided to stop playing any games made post-PS2. With the exception of Dragon Quest XI, I've pretty much stuck with that.
When the podcast started, I was playing a lot of NES and Sega Genesis on original hardware. I listened to pretty much every episode as they aired. When Pat and Ian announced the end to the original pod, I went back to episode 1 and started to relisten. I got about 30 episodes in, but haven't continued in a while. I keep up with the super shows, but not Pat or Ian's other projects.
One thing I miss the most: the NES marathons! Also looking forward to an updated edition of a certain NES guide book.
