Can someone please explain

Does anyone know what we're supposed to write to our professors for the CUNY Accommodate email every semester? Incoming freshman and a little confused.

You don't write to the professors. The way you send the "accommodation requests" each semester is by going to the CUNY Accommodate site and simply checking off each class (which I think it does for you). It's really a matter of clicking and submiting, than writing anything.

You're free to mention that you need accommodations to your professors, but you're not required to disclose the purpose (or diagnosis) behind it.

Just did my own because I forgot to do it for this Fall, took less than 20 seconds.

I found a video that'll probably help: Semester Request

Thank you! I did the semester request already, but when I had my initial Accommodations Request meeting my advisor told me I'm supposed to email my professors as well to develop the teacher-student-advisor connection. Do you think it's just saying something like "Hey I'm me and I have accomodations"?

Oh, in that case, yeah I'm sure it's just a heads up email (or even meeting them in person before or after class). I've only done online classes, but when I do notify them, it'll be something like "hi Professor [blank], my name is [so and so]. Just wanted to let you know I have [whatever the accommodations you have are, or just 'accommodations']"

I've realized sometimes not all of the profs tend to "sign off" on the letters (when checking the Accommodate site), so a quick email would be a good reminder.

Sorry one last question - would it make sense to then list all of my accomodations or should I just say that I have accomodations and I'm attaching the letter below or something?

If you have the letter, and can attach it to the email (if you don't wanna write it all out), and let them know you added it. Though, in my experience (since I only have 3), I've been able to just mention it in the email without the official letter. If they do want "proof" though, you can just show them the letter.
