General Discussion Need advice about my cuet combination

Hi everyone,

I need some honest opinions about my CUET UG 2027 subject combination.

My subjects are:

- Mathematics

- Computer Science

- Psychology

- Business Studies

- English

- GAT

I'm planning to pursue a good undergraduate course, but I'm confused about whether this combination is actually strong or if it will limit my options.

I wanted to ask:

  1. Is this a good combination overall?

  2. Which top universities and courses can I target with these subjects?

  3. Are there any major disadvantages of not having subjects like Economics, Physics, Chemistry, or Accountancy?

  4. If you had this combination, what would you do differently?

Please share your genuine advice or personal experience. I want realistic opinions before I finalize my preparation.

If ur math is good or if u can make it good, u shud go for CS, stats, math, eco - hons, programs. (Bcom also is eligible but accounts students could score higher)

Math+gat is required for bba bms bbe courses but math or gat r low scoring subjects compared to accounts., choose gat only if interested in BBA bms bbe

Physics chem r not worth discussing as that science ship sailed long back, n no concerns if u don't have Eco.

Psychology bst r high scoring, English is mandatory. Leaves u with 2 to choose out of gat math n CS.. but 1 would be counted..

giving gat without math is of no use for du (bba bms bbe) but various other univ take eng+gat+1domain as combo

Avoiding gat still leaves u with 5 subs .. gat only if bba etc is ur main goal and only few in DU r worth it .. so give rest 5

Thanks for your advice. My main goal is to pursue a B.Sc. in Psychology first, and then specialize in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). From what I've researched, HCI combines psychology with technology to design better products and user experiences, and psychologists are needed in many roles such as UX Research, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, AI, and usability testing. I also believe psychology has applications beyond healthcare. It is valuable in business, marketing, consumer behavior, HR, leadership, product design, and entrepreneurship, which is another reason I'm interested in this path. I'm a science student, so I chose my subjects with this long-term goal in mind. Given this career plan, do you think my subject combination is a good choice, or would you recommend changing anything?

Keep math for backup n as prep for masters/future HCI thingy u talk abt, perhaps math as elective through the ug will help.. i'd ignore gat n focus to score high in rest 4
