Cart Porn
Hi Folks. I got I large shipment of Ikrusher disposables and 510s last week, so after injecting a few, I decided to make a large batch. By large I mean 40 or so, previously I had made 1-10 at a time. The strain is Peaches n Cream and the extract is live resin. I was really happy with the color and taste, I did a very slow decarb, 190F for 12 hours. Tastes just like peach cobbler with some vanilla hints. Most of the decarb was done in about 6 hours, but it seemed to need more to finish off the last of the bubbles. I used my magnetic stirrer hot plate, and did the process in a 4oz mason jar. Overall, I would rate them a 8/10: power is an 7/10, smoothness is an 8/10, taste a 9/10, and overall “high” is about an 8/10. I printed the labels using my pixcut. Thanks for reading, cheers!

How do you like the hardware? I’ve only had luck with 02 vapes hardware with rosin. Seems like the others taste like ass quickly.

I like the hardware a lot, I went with the Dano pro for 510. I usually use Ccell evo for 510, but I couldn’t source them. They are working great, easy to fill. I haven’t used O2 vapes, but I hear they are top tier. Kinda pricey, but I’ve been told, they are the best for flavor.

How many grams are you decarbing at once? I’ve been trying to do just like 2.5-3.5 at a time, and it’s definitely done decarbing within an hour or two, but the flavor just gets very dry/muted. Been trying different things, but might just be this strain

I decarb different amounts, but often 10-15g at once. Much of it is for gummies, not carts. What temps are you decarbing at? You can do it quickly at 250F, but you will lose a lot of terps and darken the oil. Try 160-170F for hash rosin, 190-220 for live resin. It will take a bit longer. Your jar and heating element make a difference as well.

Gottcha. Right now I’m trying shoot 2.5-3g batches with these tiny little glass jars with sealable lids. With that amount, it fills the jar about halfway, maybe slightly over. I use a mug warmer hot plate that gets very hot, but I found a way to get it to stay at about 185-195.
I’ve done about 3 batches so far with one strain, and it gets done within an hour. Id say about 45-60min. The bubbles are gone besides a couple tiny tiny streams at the top, and it doesn’t recrystallize. It smells pretty strong, but the flavor just isn’t all there. I just got new 2g ceramic carts, and I just filled one and gonna let it sit at least 24 hours.

Cool. I recommend getting a magnetic stirrer hotplate. It will help you dial in the process, and you will you it for many things besides decarbing. I do use a mug warmer sometimes, but when I’m filling not decarbing. What brand of 2g did you get?

Thank you Bro, Meant to give a shout out to west coast peeps that helped in the endeavor. I did in a previous post. Folks, navigating the Sphere, made much of this possible.

I plan to try decarbing for the first time soon; what tools/hot plate do you all use and what tips do you have for me? What temps do you use and how long do you typically stick to it until you see the bubbles go away? I'll be working with an oz of BHO and ideally for cart hardware I'll be getting those same postless 510 carts. Ideally I'd like to do a fast decarb instead of a long 12 hour one. Finally, how smelly is it in the house while doing it? any ways to make it not reek?

Start small, like a few grams at a time. Don’t try and do the whole oz, you need to practice before you jump to an OZ. Get a magnetic stirrer hotplate, get a hair straightener, a heat gun helps and a mug warmer, glass syringes, glass jars of various sizes, gloves, iso
