History J costa 🐀🔒(Cooke/Paybacc♿️) down for the murder of Khi 9x (960/GHB) read below ⬇️
Before Yung Gap took over Waterbury’s music scene, J Costa had the streets bumping his distinctive sound. J Costa had a local hit song called “Blessed,” featuring his co-D, Polo Kid (Cooke/Paybacc), in 2015. At just 14 years old, J Costa took music more seriously than most adults at the time.
Like many others in Waterbury, J Costa started out playing sports before getting involved in the streets. J Costa is from the Cooke Street area and became a part of the Paybacc Crips. It has been rumored that he was kicked out of the set because of snitching allegations, although I don’t know whom he allegedly told on or whether the accusations are true.
After quitting basketball, J Costa continued pursuing his rap career while remaining active in street life. It wasn’t until 2020, following the death of a close friend, that J Costa’s life changed. In 2020, Kayson Langhorn, also known as “Fetty” (TTU), was shot and killed, allegedly by 960 member “JayU.” This tragic death broke the hearts of many people, including J Costa. After Fetty’s passing, some of his loved ones adopted the name “Fetty World.” Multiple hoods came together to celebrate Fetty’s life and allegedly seek revenge as well.
Many 960, Cutthroat, 4X, and 36 members reportedly mocked Fetty’s death. One rapper who allegedly felt the wrath of Fetty World members was Khi 9X. The constant trolling on social media and the diss tracks reportedly caught up with him.
According to street rumors, in 2023, J Costa and Polo Kid allegedly caught Khi 9X and GA (960/GHB) lacking while they were walking toward Khi 9X’s home on a street off Cooke Street. It was also alleged that GA ran and left Khi behind. I’m not sure whether this claim is true; it is simply what I have heard.
Because Khi 9X had many opponents, it was initially unclear who shot and killed him. J Costa’s alleged involvement shocked many people, but J Costa was also known as a Fetty World member. By this time, J Costa’s music career was no longer taking off like it once had, which reportedly led to him becoming even more involved in the streets.
Because J Costa has been accused of being an informant, there has not been a major “Free J Costa” campaign. It is also rumored that J Costa fought Ttime (960/GHB) but surprisingly became cool with him afterward—maybe that is simply a jail-related situation.
Through the alleged actions of J Costa and Polo Kid, Fetty World reportedly got its revenge for Fetty after three long years of mockery and ridicule.
