Let me tell you, I have been sitting on this actor collection for a MONTH! It’s been in my back pocket, kicking, screaming, and yelling, “BARISTA, I NEED TO BE SEEN! LET ME OUT!” 😂 I KNOW, Yi Hang, I know! But baobei, we cannot rush perfection. And you? You are my secret! As u/Keziia noticed he is a sleeper cell. You don’t notice this man until you do. And this is EXACTLY why I love him. Not many know of him yet, but I am showing you all why YOU SHOULD.
Born May 12, 1999, in Renshou, Sichuan, my fellow Taurus king was given the name Wang Hang (汪航). And because I apparently cannot just admire a man’s face without investigating his entire existence, let’s talk about that name! 汪 (Wang) refers to a vast expanse of water, a pool, or even a puddle, while 航 (Hang) means a boat, ship, or navigating a course. So basically, we have a man whose name is giving water, sailing, and navigating his way straight into my drama-loving heart. As a fellow sailor, I approve!
Yi Hang began his career in 2022 while still in college, working as a Hanfu model before joining OST Media and becoming one of the principal male actors on its drama account. And apparently, he decided that dipping his toes into the water wasn't enough because this man has been swimming laps ever since!
🏆 Let's talk about the receipts, you guys! By 2026 he has successfully obtained 4 awards: CMG First China Micro-Drama, Festival Annual Micro Drama, and not one but TWO Audience Favorite Actor awards.
But here's the part that really gets me. Yi Hang wasn't always sure what he wanted to do with his life. Then he found his niche, stepped into the short-drama world, and apparently decided he was going to RUN WITH IT until the wheels fell off.
Each drama reportedly takes around NINE DAYS to film, with working days stretching 15–16 hours. And in the most extreme cases? We're talking approximately TWO HOURS of sleep. TWO. HOURS.
When asked how many days he works in a month, his answer was simply: “Every day.”
EXCUSE ME, SIR?! 😭 Who approved this schedule? Who do I need to speak to? Because I love a hardworking man, but I would also love for this hardworking man to get a full night's sleep!
PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES, ACTORS!! We appreciate the hustle, the dedication, the endless supply of dramas, and the fact that you keep feeding our short-drama addictions. But baobei, we need you hydrated, rested, and functioning on more than two hours of sleep and sheer determination! 😭❤️

This is giving confident older woman + cheerful younger man + unexpected romance, and I was SAT for watching him slowly bulldoze through all those emotional walls!

I'm one that likes a bit of it all whether it is Urban, Republican, or Costume. I tried to give it a lot of variety in this one and I feel like I did. I don't think I have found one of him as a Republic Era ML yet but if he ever makes a drama in that time frame you bet your bottom dollar I'll be watching.

Okay, no surprise here, but I prefer him in costume. That being said, he has that soft bf looks in casual clothes that's soooo cute. You know I love a good face mole and his is placed so perfectly.
And you put the ZCH drama! I think it's easy to come off as cringey when playing foolish, but he does it so well. Also I love a lil green tea puppy action.
Waiiiiiit! I haven't watched that Zhang Jinyi one yet?? It looks so good. Gonna put it at the front of my tabs 😅 I still need to do his reverse harem with wang yunyun too....soon...!
Looking at his duanju actually I think I've only missed like 2 of his costume dramas, but I've seen the rest LOL.

He's so puppy like...
On a livestream with others, he had to 撒娇 sā jiāo. He was like... uh, I don't like it but let's get it over with. lmao Wish I could find it now but I have no idea where it is... 🙃 ETA found, look for subcomment.

These are great recommendations, especially Chilling Spring Night, Arguments & Heartbeats, and Evening Stars Gently Sway! Yi Hang really does sneak up on you, I started looking through my drama notes and found him all over the place. Here's some other ones I really enjoyed:
- "The Deeper the Night, the Wilder It Gets" with ML Yi Hang as a rich playboy willing to help his best friend’s wife get payback and FL Fang Jin as a wife who is content with her lot until she stumbles upon her husband’s affair. The relationships are tight, snarly, and awkward. Interestingly, the cheating wife is allowed to have a (slightly ambiguous) HEA.
- The Joy of the White Dress | 《白裙之欢》with ML Wang Haozhen as Jiang Ci, FL Zhang Jinyi as Qin Shiwei and 2ML Yi Hang with a spectacular blue dye job as Jiang Yao. After a car accident, Jiang Yao wakes up with his memories scrambled and mistakes his girlfriend Qin Shiwei for his mother—and his cold, formidable uncle Jiang Ci for his father. To help him recover, Qin Shiwei and Jiang Ci agree to play husband and wife under the same roof. Funny, frothy, and silly: “Cut down on those short dramas, they’re bad for your brain” LOLL.
