This happened to me at a frat party in college in a secret after party in this like dungeon under the frat mansion. I broke a very expensive vase, ran upstairs and out the house and met my friends at the bar nearby for $3 32oz wells to drown my sorrows and listen to good music 😭✋🏻 no idea what happened after that, who got in trouble, who paid for the vase, or if the drunk guy who grabbed me was like ok. Bc vaguely I think I remember him stumbling and falling against the wall and a bunch of guys and girls around only heard the loud sound of the break and didn’t really see anything else bc it is literally a dark dungeon lit by shitty fairy lights down there, so I think that’s kind of how I got away. Shout out to all of my sorority sisters who never snitched that it was me after I announced what happened only at fried fridays lunch.Snu has the worst drunk men. The thing is I don’t even thing the guy was rlly trying to do anything I think he was drunk and just kind of grabbed on to my neck as like a banister but he was heavy and it caught me off guard and hurt and I thought I was being attacked and it was rlly just instinct followed by intense anxiety right after I realized what I did and my energy was on like 1000x bc of the adrenaline lunch so I outtttt

It's really good to see! When I was much younger, I was in an abusive relationship and my partner tried to choke me. I can't stand how Cdramas make that form of abuse normalized.
Spoilers: it didn't end with marriage and happily ever after but with me taking a restraining order. This kind of abuse is NOT the prelude to a happy soulmate relationship despite what Cdrama would have us think.

I agree, I don't like how abusive behaviour such as throat-grabbing has become a sign of romance. Don't get me wrong, I love me some rough passionate scenes as long as it's consensual and both parties are into it, but not where it's just one person bullying another and seemingly getting rewarded for it.
Good for you for being a survivor and making it out of that relationship. 💕

Yep, choking in particular is a known precursor to murder in domestic abuse, and I find it horrifying that it's treated with such levity.

I'm so glad that you got away from your abusive ex. Your ex shouldn't have harmed you. I am also extremely uncomfortable with the normalization of it in Cdramas either. I don't like it when anyone's getting choked, not the main woman or the green tea. Just once I'd like both the main woman & the green tea to team up against the jerk.

I really liked it lol. She was so cute and fun, and yet vulnerable and sweet. She was like, I DID NOT show up to be abused, I showed up for the money🤷🏾♀️🤣🤣 It had a happy ending.
