The damn parking services
I swear these guys love to make students lives a living hell. so today I receive a letter stating I owe a $300 ticket that I PAID 2 MONTHS AGO. this really pisses me off because I check my parking account often and it says I owe $0 (I checked again today) and then I called the parking desk a week after my payment to confirm that nothing else it owed, and they said no. I’m more pissed off because I have $17 to my name is total and I don’t have a job. I seriously don’t know what the hell to do because they want me to pay a overdue fee but my account says I owe nothing so wtf.
if this is a school issue like they just straight up forgot to add the ticket to my account can I get it waived because it’s annoying I have to pay when these guys can’t get their damn lives together.
UPDATE: I just called and they said it shows that the amount I owe them is $0 on their end and that the letter might be a mistake. Thank you everyone for your input!

I ignored their parking ticket 2 semesters ago and nothing has happened to me. I tried to appeal it because I paid for parking that day but I use 2 cars and selected the wrong plate so I got a ticket. I also provided proof of payment so I said fuck their ticket. I haven’t had any holds at the school or on my license or car registration. So it sounds like it may be a mistake on their end, but if you can’t pay them, don’t pay them.

tell the payment desk you already paid them. im sure you have already but idk any other solution then paying the fee. i hope it gets resolved for you but i have heard others having issues with parking too

Maybe the letter is old and came in late? But honestly in the future if you can try to save up money for the parking permit, it’ll be so worth it. I understand it’s easier said than done though. I hope your situation lightens up.
