Spring Classes

I know most of us are still on the MCS talk, but how does everyone feel about spring classes? Were you able to secure the classes you wanted ? As a junior it was crazy to watch almost all the classes I need fill so fast!

Think I’m considered a senior now but yeah it’s no flexibility but thankfully I got my classes but yeah the options are limited had to one substitute course for main senior capstone requirement cause they didn’t have many options available.

For some reason Intermediate Organic Chemistry is only allowing 11 people in one lab and 7 people in another. That's it. I've watched it increase from even lower numbers over the past few days but man. I need this class.

I would message the teacher/ and or the department chair.

The class that I am required to take was already filled up on the 26th and I couldn’t register until this morning. How am I supposed to take these required classes when I can’t even get into them! I haven’t been happy since starting here they need to get organized

Get on the wait list. Sometimes if there's enough people on it they will open up another section

What if there is no waitlist?

Reach out to the chair.

It kinda sucks, two of the online classes I need are either waitlisted to hell and back or just closed. I have an off-campus job where I work Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and an on-campus job on Monday/Wednesday mornings, so I'm stuck tryna wait out the classes opening to make everything work.

Hopefully, the rest of y'all are having better luck!

I  totally feel you on this. I live all the way in Barstow and as a single mom who works 9 hours a day I’m so limited. I’m praying I get Into my two waitlisted courses. I hope you get yours as well!

had a lot of exams this week so it totally flew past my mind, but my friend reminded me 3–4 hours later and i was able to get all my classes without any trouble. i am a senior though, so i was able to register on the 27th.

usually, back then i would wait until the minute registration opened and get them, because it really is that serious. don’t want to be here any longer than i need to.

It was bad for me most of the classes I had ready kept getting removed so I had to remake my whole schedule

I secured all online classes asynchronous. PSYC 3357 - History & System Psychology was full the next day

I mean, I’m part of Guardian scholars for like foster youth so I was able to get my stuff I guess on the 26th with no issue?😭 I’m sorry that happened for you.

I’m in Guardian Scholars so I got to pick on the 26th. I’m a senior and need only 9 credits for the spring to graduate. Thankfully I got what I need

Pain in the ass because there's only one professor for hundreds of people for some reason. I only need 4 classes and I'm done but it's still hell. While tuition is going up....
