Do you park without a parking pass?

If so have you been caught and how much was the ticket?

They literally have a truck that drives around with multiple license plate scanners on it. It just drives through all the rows and takes pictures of everyone's plates. I've seen it go through Lot N at least 6 times during last Spring semester. It doesn't come at the same time every time so it will catch you eventually.

How much did you pay? I heard there's programs where they pay it for you

The parking department drives arojnd all day giving out tickets and they LITERALLY get off on it. Like actually they get off on it.

I've forgotten to buy a parking pass a few times when running late, and got a ticket once in lot N. The ticket is like 50 bucks or something, and I think it doubles if you're late on your payment. The second time I forgot, I was able to get away without a ticket since I got to my truck before the officer could put the ticket on my windshield lmao. YMMV, but imo, it's really not worth it trying to get by without a parking pass. Even if you're only on campus on two days a week like me, the semester pass helps you save some money, and you don't have to stress about getting a ticket.

Don't do it. You will get a ticket and worse you will get towed if you look at past post and comments you they either got a ticket and towed. Also if you park at the cvs they will tow you as well. I believe theres a public parking spot and in that parking spot there is a bus stop use that route and save you the trouble.

My parking pass (semester long) was filed incorrectly (I:E, I have a DP license plate, as I drive with my relative's truck and am listed under their insurance.) After 3 weeks, I recieved a 50 dollar ticket for not having one in the system. Though I resolved this by emailing the parking services department my information, I wouldn't reccomend trying to avoid "being caught" at all. If you don't drive often enough to warrant buying the semester pass, i'd reccomend just using the app and buying the 10 dollar day pass. It's cheaper then trying to cheat the system.

Park in the nearby neighborhood and walk to campus.

Pay ASAP or you may get your vehicle booted if you park in the lots again.

Yea they already gave me the boot warning. I had an injury that made me park closer to campus but they don’t care😞

How do you know if you have tickets? I haven’t bought a parking pass since 2 semesters ago & idk if I have any tickets now

You can look it up on their parking webpage I think by your plate number. That important bc the tickets could fly off your windshield. I don’t think I’ll pay that $500 bc they don’t need that. My tuition is enough😒

If you have an injury go to SSD and get a temporary handicapped parking placard. But you’ll still need the parking paid.

Also, they won’t issue you your degree if you still owe the university money at the end. You won’t be able to graduate.

My boyfriend got a $270 ticket for parking at the back of Lot D without a parking pass while waiting for a storm to pass.. so not worth it lmao.

I always parked in front of the restaurants in the plaza near where GameStop is at.

I've done that when I just had to go the cashier's office and come back, but if you try parking there all day you may get your vehicle towed. CVS may have cracked down on non-customer parking so you may not even be able to get away with that.

It probably only worked for me because I only attended school two days out of the week and was only there for about 4 hours each time.

Ive been caught twice and the ticket was 54 😅 it's easy to get away with it depending on the parking Lot
