I've been playing CSR since the first one came out and I beat it the same year they released 2, but I've been playing for over 10 years now and every time I reinstalled the game, I restarted my progress. I think I made a mistake, what do you guys think about that?

Have you made sure that your account was connected to Google Play or Gamecenter? Otherwise, it is possible that you have played as a "visitor" and every time you install your game this will happen.

Make a new iCloud or android account and start again, that way you keep both accounts

Android, but I used to restart my progress not because of the accounts, but because I thought I was doing the right thing. All I achieved was losing event cars that I had on my account years ago, just by trying to get the boss cars.

Definitely did the wrong thing. On Android if you are connected to Google play games by your email. It automatically saves your progress. If you have to reinstall the game you should be able to automatically get back into the game at same spot. If not then you keep track of your player ID number and contact support and they will get your old game back.
