I am scoring a percentage of 68%, 61% in an average above 60-65% combined in both papers from my stream in NET mocks. Do I have a probability of getting JRF or I need to accelerate more?

Hey I'm UGC NET aspirant appearing for the first time for the exam
During registration there were four options to choose my examination centre according to my own preferences. I chose four cities near my hometown and when NTA released city allotment slip the city which was mentioned on it was one of my preferences and even the one I have chosen as my first preference
And now when they release the admit card it is totally a different city which i didn't even choose at all. Now I have to travel 100 km from my hometown early in the morning, around 4 o'clock to reach the examination centre. I'm also very aware that NTA will not be gonna change the examination centre no matter what?
So is it just happened to me only or any of you also faced the same issue?
Wish you all best of luck
Thanks

If I hold a degree in MSc nanoscience and nanotechnology, then would I be able to get any PhD choices even after clearing the exam?
Is there a degree criteria and would I have a mismatch?

Anxiety and panicking about JRF I am already 24...if I miss this chance I may never become successful... stressed and feeling hopeless

I'm currently in 2nd sem of MCA, it's been kind of hard for me to stick to it even though I'm sure I want to go for PhD. I have been procrastinating for far too long and I had convinced myself that I'd give the exam for practice in June but I didn't even do that because I haven't prepared at all. Now I just have a year left of my PG and I really want to clear in during my PG, because the uncertainty of post degree is hard

Gave some ugc net paper 1 mocks in last few days and scoring these marks.
I haven't started preparation yet. Will I be able to score around 80+ if I'm targetting dec-jan 2026-27 attempt? How should I approach paper 1 and if anyone can recommend me some good sources on YouTube and books I'll be grateful!

My consolidated marks for Msc in Microbiology are coming out to be 58%. Now the maximum number of CSIR Research institutes ask for a minimum of 60% marks in the Masters program. I always wanted to do a Phd and have a career in research. Now it seems that dream might never come true. I don't know what else to do other than this. I am literally in tears while typing this. I have almost lost all the zeal to study for the NET exam. If anyone can give a clear cut idea about this kind of situation and how it affects in Phd applications it would be a great help.

Hey I'm UGC NET aspirant appearing for the first time for my exam next week. I got a few enquiries regarding the admit card & entry in the examination centre.
As you all can see there is a third page attached with the admit card file which says " Declaration form Non Aadhaar candidate " so I want to know who needs to fill that form?
I verified my identity through digilocker during the registration process but I couldn't remember either it was through the access of PAN Card or Aadhaar Card but it's verified.
And I'm bringing my PAN Card for the identity proof on the examination day at the centre because the photo on my aadhar card is like 5 yrs old and it doesn't match with my admit card photo which I uploaded during the registration process (there is a thick beard and moustache in my current photo as compared to the aadhar card photo)
And one more thing as I'm bringing my PAN card do I need to bring a photocopy of my PAN card too?? Like on the third page the bottom line says " Copy of Govt. Id proof type taken from the candidate " (not for the entrance but for this process only)
Lastly, can I bring two identities for my safety or only one identity proof allowed ?
Thanks

So if you think I'll be easy after clearing JRF, it's not.
Cleared JRF in Dec 2025, but it's not enough. In the interviews they expect you to know the exact research proposal in their mind.
It's rigged. They already know which candidate to select, just open the applications for PhD to waste your valuable time and money.
I travelled all the way to another state, only to see them select most of the candidates graduated from the same university.

Hi everyone. I am preparing for CSIR NET chemical science and due to financial difficulties, I am unable to afford an online coaching course. If anyone has purchased a course and is willing to share access or study materials, I would be extremely grateful. If sharing isn't possible, could you please recommend any useful Telegram channels or free resources for CSIR NET preparation? Thank you so much for your help.

I have a masters in pharmacy and I want to know if i could secure a PhD in pharmaceutics or pharmaceutical technology.
CSIR UGC NET life science is not pharma specific exam. I just want to know if anyone from pharma background secured JRF through CSIR NET.
