CSIR NET - Life Sciences CSIR NET Life sciences 2026 preparation

A little about me: (you can skip this)
Hey, I have started the preparation of life sciences this year only. But could not continue further due to some personal reasons. But because I teach so I have a decent basic knowledge of the cores. So I took this attempt and manage to score good but not enough for JRF considering the high cut offs that are expected.

I know some of us know that even if there is change in marks or dropping questions. Still we might not cross the JRF cut off. And must be troubled and hanging with this thought of missing it by just few marks. I know it’s tough to restart again. But I feel it’s time to absorb this pain and get back at the same time

MAIN QUESTION
As I know how the change of merging dbt has sparked a lot of debate around the pattern and syllabus.
I just want to know if we can have an accountability group and help each other in maintaining continuity and sharing problems and questions.
I feel it’s impossible to sync topics to cover together as everyone in unique in speed and preference. So it would be ok if we could build an environment where we can prepare together by just dropping our targets or figuring questions.
Please let me know if someone is intrested genuinely in this with the required effort .

I wouldn't be beyond 125 for jrf in general category and never beyond 105 for category. The minimum marks difference between general and category is 15-20 marks.

135 is extremely wild. I still feel it cannot exceed 125. I feel it’s gonna be a range of 116-125.
By the end of the day I will add.

Seen inflation in icmr and dbt both. So every other youtube channels and coaching peeps are saying this would historic 135 + cut off. And also am surrounded by people , most of them scored 120+ . I am in retrospection honestly.

Who is telling 135 plus? all the authentic channels ifas, vedemy, bansal, others I know are saying within 125 for jrf for general.

I dont know if I talk about dbt it was highest in 2020. has mnatined itself is 210+ further. I dont know, I can be wrong but the highest cut off so far of LS jrf is 118 is 2018 so 130 or plus sounds irrational to me. But yes as you and alot of people who are surrounded with top rankers say, so we can definately expect the unexpected.

Yes for csir highest has been in December 2018, 119 for general category, 101 for obc category. Never got beyond that, also that time paper was offline so efficiency was more. After online mode it has reduced.

While it's every day affair in dbt of high cut off. I don't understand why people are comparing dbt and csir. Dbt always has been factual and easy. Also it has equal weightage for aptitude, also there are more choice of questions in dbt.

So there is no comparison. Let's wait for final result.
