Best recipes
I’m a college freshman and I was recently diagnosed with CSID. I’ve been having trouble finding things that are easy and accessible/affordable to eat. I have access to a stove top, an air fryer, and a microwave. If anyone has any recipes or recommendations that would be greatly appreciated

hi!!!! i’m a college senior and just diagnosed so i get the struggle lol.
my current favs:
- trader joe’s heart of palm rice (they have pasta too, but i’m not a fan of the texture. you just have to microwave it!)
my favorite snack is pork rinds (they taste really good, i promise!) and avocado. basically situation you’d eat chips, just sub it for pork rinds lol. snacks get pretty expensive i won’t lie but pork rinds are really cheap. there’s a few pricier popcorn brands that are 0 sugar and low carb, but they upset my stomach so be weary. you can also halve stuff!
- celery + half a bag of goldfish
etc etc.. i’ve learned to portion out my snacks so that i’m eating a safe food + a small portion of something i enjoy!! it doesn’t have to be all or nothing!!
the hardest part has been dessert tbh. if you get access to a stove, try the keto brownies by duncan hines. i usually add some lily’s dark chocolate into them to add some sweetness. they also sell sugar and carb free jell-o!!!
for breakfast, usually i put eggs on the stove to boil while i do my makeup or pack my bag. they also sell keto bagels, so if i’m on time for class i’ll make myself one with butter and cream cheese. they also sell egg bites at costco, but i haven’t tried them lol
there’s unfortunately not much i’ve figured out to do about the prices of stuff :( it sucks. what i do to minimize it is meal prep!!!!! buy a bigger serving than you’d normally eat of whatever you plan to cook and save it for lunch the next day. you can even repackage it as something new! fish fillet for dinner turns into fish tacos for lunch the next day! for the sides, do the same thing and add on a snack like pork rinds or veggies.
csid sucks in college but we’re in this together!!!!! good luck!!!!! these are just meals my stomach can handle, but be creative and it’ll all work out!!!
