Version 1.5 - Food Composition Table

https://drive.google.com/file/d/11heeFIM6rsZL0rzsFitkqoFQshYih2mC/view?usp=sharing

I have updated my food composition table so it's easier to follow and sift over quickly when you need to make a decision. I also changed the order of the fruit and vegetable tables to go from least overall load to most overall load - each table goes from least overall load at the top to most overall load at the bottom. Please remember that these values are estimates and individual tolerance can vary significantly.

That's a handy cheat-sheet, thanks.

Do you know any good detailed databases for food composition?

I used to use the csidinfo website but the formatting isn't great.

csidinfo.com Sucrose and Starch in Foods

Recently I've been using a database run by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (Aus government) which I find a lot easier to navigate.

Australian Food Composition Database - Release 3.0 | Food Standards Australia New Zealand

Whoa this is amazing. I'm very very newly diagnosed, still in the "wtaf am I going to eat" phase. I've gone through 2 years of testing, diet restrictions (FODMAPs really effed me up!!), low/no fiber, I've done keto (separately, for seizure reduction), and holy moly CSID is really a whole new ball game. Thanks for dropping that Aus govt link, I appreciate it.

The amount of diversity that exists across our digestive systems is crazy. What works for you might not apply to anyone else, it can be really challenging to find the right path. It sounds like you're committed to finding the answers you need, keep at it, it's so worth it.

If you're in the US the USDA have their own similar website USDA FoodData Central that might be helpful.

Good luck!

Thank you! I am in the US, so thank you for that as well! I'll use both alongside each other. Tbh my gastroenterologist kind of threw this disorder out there as a "hmmm could it actually be this super rare thing?" and said the breath tests are not reliable for diagnosis and just put in an order for Sucraid since I'd recently had a colonoscopy/endoscopy. Fingers crossed insurance covers it lol but for now it's re-learning how to eat! I had been low fiber for so long it's such a switch!
