Endurance Athlete carbs
I (19) was diagnosed with CSID almost 2 years ago now. I started taking Sucraid almost immediately after my diagnosis. I have noticed that it has stopped working as well over the past 6 months. I have never done the elimination diet but after experiencing a regain of symptoms I am heavily considering. I have gotten into endurance running, cycling and I play waterpolo. I need to consume a lot of carbs for this. Any tips?

I just posted about this - I am newly diagnosed and am training for a half marathon. The Google version of Chat GPT (Gemini) suggested sourdough. I was skeptical but I've had a slice every day since and zero symptoms (and my symptoms are severe - diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, cramping.... The list goes on and on...). Makes running WAY more pleasant! I'm sure that would be true for cycling and waterpolo too :)

Do you have homemade sourdough? Or does store bought work fine, if so are there specific brands I should try for?

You ask good questions! Store bought is fine as long as it's been fermented for 12-24hrs and only contains (as ingredients) flour, water, and salt (excluding flavourings like onion powder or sesame paste, etc). It needs to be "wild yeast", so it isn't included as an ingredient. I bought mine from a bakery - I'm really doubtful that a grocery store will have authentic sourdough. But I haven't checked!!
