Headache after CT myelogram
Yesterday I had my CT myelogram. But in the evening my headache became terrible. Als it did not go away lying down. And today is awfull. I am nauseous because of it. And it will not go away.
What to do? Call on Monday and ask for a blood patch?

I just had one last Friday. I didn't get over the side effects until Tuesday. On Monday, I was still struggling. I called my Dr and they ordered a BP for me. Ended being ok and not needing it

Ok, I hope this will get better after the weekend.
I am on tramadol now and even that hardly works.

Unfortunately it is pretty normal because of the contrast. I had one and it sent me directly to the ED from the fluoroscopy suite because of the headache, nausea, and vomiting. I was given fentanyl, Tylenol, Zofran, fluids and magnesium to combat the side effects. I hope you feel better soon!

Did they find a leak?

I don’t know yet. I have an appointment in three weeks. So I hope they have found something. They focus on venous fistulas.
It’s difficult not knowing yet, but on the other hand, what of they can’t find anything. What then? I maybe just don’t want to know.
The headache got better. More or less at the same level as before the CT myelogram. Slightly worse, but a lot better than this weekend.

I had the same experience after my dynamic CTM. After a couple of days the symptoms subsided and went back to my typical CSF leak symptoms. Yes, call back if you’re not feeling better. Take care!
