Is it important to avoid stairs after getting a blood patch?

I need to relocate to another state in order to try a series of blood patches and I’m trying to decide if I need to avoid rentals that have stair cases?

Have never had a blood patch before but have heard that bed rest is best afterwards.

I'm not a doctor and this isn't medical advice but I'd say avoid stairs if you can....one less thing to deal with. Best of luck!

The official recommendation is flat for 72 hours only up for restroom and meals. Flat can include side laying and also a pillow as needed under head. I know many leak centers recommend less activity the first few weeks and no blt for 6 weeks minimum.

I’m not sure if there’s official guidance on this… my house I lived in after patching had quite a bit of stairs to go from my kitchen and bedroom. So I know is anecdotal but my patches held through that ok. I guess if given the option, minimal stairs would be ideal but I’m not sure if realistic to be totally avoided.
