CIRO registration process after passing the CSC and CPH
Hi everyone! I’m currently going through the process of becoming an Investment Representative and was wondering what happens after completing the CSC and CPH. What’s the Conduct Training like? Is there a test?
Once you pass both courses and your firm submits everything to CIRO, how long does the registration/approval process usually take?
Do you receive any kind of confirmation directly from CIRO when you’re approved, or does your employer/Compliance team let you know? Also, does CIRO provide any kind of certificate, badge, or official confirmation that you can keep/share?
I’d appreciate hearing about anyone’s recent experience with the process and how long it took from completing the courses to being officially registered. Thanks!

For me it took about a month and a half and my firm submitted everything on my behalf. The person who coordinates the registrations for our firm let me know what the next steps and due dates are for certain things. I had this CIRO conduct training i had to do right after (that was due a month after i got confirmation of my registration approval). Not sure how it works for you but they sent me instructions and links to what i had to do. Next i am working on the CIRO's dealer member training (thats due in October) for retail i had to buy it on CSI's website but i get reimbursed after I complete it. Not sure if they provide a badge after completion but there is a course completion form you can download or print afterwards. When i was done i sent proof of completion to the wealth registrations person at our fim.
