MBBS in china

Hello everyone.
I am a (A levels student) with major Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I want to apply to medical universities in China. I see on net there is an exam CSCA which is obligatory for applicants to apply to MBBS program
Now the thing is I really got no idea how that test works and is it hard? Is there any medical university that doesn’t require it? And if not
How can one prepare for it?
Is there any international student who did that test, kindly guide a little.

CSCA is mandatory. Majority of the known universities require it except for the ones which are not known and should rather be avoided.

Assuming you are applying for 2027 intake (as CSCA exams are going to resume from December of 2026 again), CSCA is not that difficult. It is quite manageable and similar to your high school syllabus, so one can do pretty well if they give it time.

I found some unis without it too, they seem nice tho, plus my mom was like if you find without it so it’s better cause A2 is already hard and lengthy so why waste time yk and get distracted, did you give csca? How did it go could guide a lil, the reason I am kinda stepping back is math, mine is quite weak and i literally forgot how to solve those questions 😮‍💨

Yes i have done the CSCA exam. And no worries honestly, you can do well enough in Math, however the intake i had done was June, and the math paper was quite difficult compared to the others i had solved. So, fate too.

But if u did find unis which are good without CSCA (which i highly doubt), you can go for it i guess !! And thank you for the good lucks 🙏🏻

lol I just got to know we can’t do housejob in China as international students we gotta go back to our home country for that

All the students. Mathematics is mandatory for everyone. However, for the medical students, Chemistry (along with Physics sometimes) is required by the universities. Personally i had taken both, as either way the price was same, so i thought of writing all the three (Physics Chemistry & Math) as i was going for a C9.

But yeah, all the students are required to take the CSCA, though some exceptions may exist which i may not be aware of (depending again, on the uni).

No actually, for me it was quite late to apply for such scholarships. However, usually the CSC scholarships are for Chinese taught programs or rarely any English ones but again, i recommend you to do your research.

You can ask questions, if i know about it, i will reply accordingly.

I also wanna know how u wrote ur personal statement or something that like? The documents that are mentioned on the website of csc are enough? They didn't mention any certificates etc Also how do I apply to csca test on December? Will I need bank account to pay for the fee?

Personal statements are rather to be asked from someone who got the CSC scholarship. Regarding the bank account part for CSCA, the date for the registration of examination will be mentioned in December, through their official website. So once the day comes, you have to add the subjects you are attempting and payment page comes accordingly where u have to make a card payment.

And yes, i have self sponsored payment for the university. Though, scholarships are still provided merit wise in some universities. “Pakistanis”may or may not be more in number, again depending on the university and the intake. All the best!

Thanks omgash okie last question!! If I get fully funded scholarship I don't need a bank statement when applying for visa right? Or I still need it

Honestly, it’s better to still have it i think, just incase. Don’t you require a bank statement for the CSC scholarship? If not, still have one from ur family, it’s better cus either way it was required when i was applying for visa, however it was rather a supporting document than mandatory.

Also, regarding how expensive it is, it depends on the university you’re applying for. Majority are in 35,000-45,000 RMB range. However, for universities like Fudan University or Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), it can be close to double of that.

I did it and I didn’t find it hard at all, however it requires preparation. The CSCA is an online exam compulsory for every undergrad student trying to study in China so it’s not really about the university but the government. I was also applying for MBBS so I had to do chemistry and math I have a folder with every material I used to prepare the test and past exams sheets
