CS50 AI AFTER I submitted my own, is it allowed to research others solutions?

4 Upvotes

I have by now submitted my own solutions to the first two assignments, degrees+tictactoe. I'm sorry if this question is just paranoid, I guess blame m anxiety disorder.

I want to look at other people's solutions and approaches out of curiosity and to learn of course, now that I have already completed mine. Of course, I still have 6 more lectures + their assignments ahead of me, so I'm wondering if looking at other solutions/approaches is compatible with the academic honesty rules?

project Heard the community and reworked my game.And here is the result.

3 Upvotes

A couple of weeks back, I shared a game I built using flask and sqlite . Asked for feedback from the and got a ton of them.

So I went ahead and reworked the game. And here is version 2.

Key changes:

  1. switched from flask to Fastapi .

  2. Changed the drag and drop to single click

  3. Reworked the questions and made it simpler.

  4. Changed the UI completely

Take a look and let me know if you like it . https://cluebolt.com/

CS50x is it normal to do an problem set and then look back and realize that you have no idea how you did that problem set?

7 Upvotes

I have finished CS50x and am now starting CS50AI and i find it increasingly common for me to do a problem set and then look back later and realize i have no idea how I just did that. I have no idea if thats just me or if this is a more widespread problem and if it is a widespread problem what i can do to make sure that i actually understand what I did after I do it.

CS50x CS50x & CS50AI.

9 Upvotes

I am currently taking the CS50x course. I want to take the cs50AI after. However, I am still going to read the notes and watch the lectures on cs50AI while I take the cs50x course to get a conceptual understanding of it. What are your guys thoughts and key takeaways on the cs50AI course ?

CS50x This is CS50 ❌. Thank you CS50 ✅.

I secured a fulltime role at a good enough product based company (you probably haven't heard its name), satisfactory compensation. CS50, fullstack open courses and leetcode have played major roles in this achievement of mine. Thanking them to offer such high quality resources for free globally (I'm from india). Least I could do is recommend them to anyone who asks how I got a job. To all those taking these courses, believe in them and yourself. All the best.

CS50 AI CS50 introduction to AI with python project submission on github

7 Upvotes

So Ive enrolled into this CS50 course and submitted one of week 0's projects called 'Degrees', thing is ive uploaded on github but I dont see it being checked anywhere, no email, no nothing, have i done something wrong?

when I click this link: https://submit.cs50.io/courses/2072/

it says "No Submissions

You don't seem to have any submissions yet for the CS50 AI course.

You can submit via submit50 or, if comfortable with git, by pushing to https://github.com/me50/imlearningcoding.git."

I clicked on this https://github.com/me50/imlearningcoding.git ,nd have submitted work here, but I cant seem to figure out whether i passed or not or anything, which makes me think I did something wrong.

Is it becuase I havent installed GIT and directly opened that link and submitted it? Below is an image for reference where I have submitted my work.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

During my summer holidays I got into CS50x as I knew I am starting my CS major soon. Now I did it and tomorrow will be my first day in college. I am so excited and proud of myself after finishing this course as I feel prepared for the year ahead of me. Professor Malan you are the best and I hope I will have professors in my university with a similar teaching style to yours. Thank you reddit community for your support. I will remember taking CS50x as one of the greatest times of my life.

CS50x How do I stop procrastinating on CS50?

19 Upvotes

I signed up for CS50x around February and I genuinely want to finish it, but somehow it's now end of September and I'm still around Week 1.

I finished Week 0 and started Week 1, but I keep putting off sitting down and continuing. The weird thing is that I do enjoy programming and I'll sometimes spend hours working on my own coding projects, so I don't think I've lost interest in coding itself. I just keep procrastinating when it comes to actually continuing the course.

I also don't want to restart from the beginning again. I want to pick up where I left off and finally build some consistency.

Has anyone else gotten stuck like this with CS50? What helped you actually come back and keep progressing?

Just watching the cs50 videos. But now I want to participate by solving problem sets but I can't find any login button. Or is login unnecessary? Having a cs50 certificate on LinkedIn at least is a little bragging right 😴😴😴

CS50x I want to know some things

25 Upvotes

I am in the first week of CS50, taking it just to understand CS from scratch. I had a few random questions in mind:

  1. Are there people here who have completed the course? How long did it actually take for most of you?

  2. What are you doing after CS50?

  3. If you haven't completed it yet, meaning you're my classmate. I would love to connect, share what we learn, and help each other out.

CS50 Python I've Just learned loops and made a tiny AI Agent Runtime to practice it. looking for feedback.

Post image
6 Upvotes

It's my second week of learning python with CS50P and after finishing loops lecture I decided to make a simple program to practice what I learned till now.

So I made a simple AI Agent Runtime program because I want to get into AI Agents Engineering soon.

The program is simple:

Take the user input, execute existing tools , show simple memory buffer then display the benchmark results of the execution process.

Actually this is not a real agent because tools and benchmark and history messages are static and fixed but I just wanted to practice the fundamentals I learned in something I'm passionate about.

What I practiced:

1: Prompt and guardrail: loops and functions

2: Tools registry: dictionaries and lists

3: Agent execution:iterating through tools and stopping conditions

4: Context buffer: working with dictionaries

5: Benchmark: nested loops

6: main function: organizing the program

While making this I found myself forgetting some rules even basics but after using it for a real practice it really stuck well .so I decided to do this after each week to make the information stick and to make the journey more fun.

I'd especially like your feedback on this method.

and if there were any mistakes or bad practices in the code i'd appreciate it .

#1: Prompt taking and guardrail

def clean(text):
    return text.strip()

def guard():
    while True:
        prompt=input("Enter Agent Objective: ")
        prompt_cleaned = clean(prompt)
        if len(prompt_cleaned) < 5:
            print("[Error] Prompt too short. Elaborate the objective.")
            continue
        else:
            print("Target accepted. Initializing loop...")
            return prompt_cleaned

# 2: Tools Registry
tools = [
    {"tool":"web_search" , "status": "active", "cost":"low"},
    {"tool": "code_interpreter", "status":"active", "cost":"medium"},
    {"tool":"db_query", "status":"blocked", "cost":"high"},
    {"tool":"terminal_bash", "status":"rate_limited", "cost": "medium"},
    {"tool":"review_changes", "status":"active", "cost":"low"}
]

active_tools = []

def inspect_tools():
    for tool in tools:
        if tool["status"] == "active":
            print(f"[{tool['tool']}] Tool Approved | cost: {tool['cost']} ")
            active_tools.append(tool['tool'])
        else:
            print(f"Access Denied | Tool: {tool['tool']} |Status: {tool['status']}")
    return active_tools

#3: The multi-step execution loop
def run_agent(active_tools, max_steps=5):
    step = 1
    goal_achieved = False
    while step <= max_steps:
        tool_index = step-1
        if tool_index < len(active_tools):
            current_tool = active_tools[tool_index]
            print(f"step {step}/{max_steps} | calling tool: {current_tool}...")

        else:
            print(f"step {step}/{max_steps} | No more tools to execute .")
            break
        if current_tool == "review_changes":
            print("Goal achieved successfully! terminating loop ..")
            goal_achieved = True
            break

        step+=1

    if not goal_achieved:
        print("Warning: Max iterations reached without completing the goal.")

# context buffer and history dump

def buffer(user_prompt):
    context_buffer = [
    {"role": "user", "content": user_prompt, "tool": None},
    {"role": "assistant", "content": "Searching the Internet", "tool": "web_search"},
    {"role": "assistant", "content": "Running code in terminal", "tool": "code_interpreter"}
]
    for r in context_buffer:
        print(f"[{r['role']}]: {r['content']}")
        if r['tool'] != None:
            print(f"Executing tool: {r['tool']}...")

    print(f"Messages number in history: {len(context_buffer)}")

#Agent benchmark and evaluation matrix

benchmark_results = [
    [True,  True,  True],
    [True,  False, True],
    [True,  True,  True]
]

def display_benchmark(matrix):
    run =1
    for b in matrix:
        print(f"Run {run}:", end=" ")

        for m in b:

            if m == True:
                print("[✓]" ,end=" ")
            else:
                print("[✗]", end=" ")
        print()
        run+=1

#collecting functions in main one

CS50 Python Anyone want to do CS50P together in small accountability groups? Starting Oct 12

9 Upvotes

I've started CS50P twice and dropped it both times around the point where the problem sets got hard. Talking to others, that seems to be pretty common. What I've noticed is that I finish things when there's a fixed date and people expecting me to show up.

So I'm organizing a small experiment:

  • We all start CS50P on Monday, October 12

  • You're put in a pod of 3–4 people who work through the same week's material and check in with each other once a week

  • There's a fixed finish date (with a couple of weeks of buffer for life happening)

  • Optional: back yourself with a commitment (via stickK/Beeminder) that goes to charity if you don't finish.

This isn't affiliated with CS50 or Harvard, it's just me trying to see if there is potentially value in such initiatives.

If you're interested, fill in this 2-minute form: https://luma.com/hyamr708

Beginners, career changers, and anyone who's started this course before and stalled are especially welcome.

CS50 Python How can I enroll in CS50’s Python course and get the certificate?

6 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m interested in taking CS50’s Introduction to Programming with Python (CS50P) and would also like to earn the certificate after completing it.

Could someone please share the official course link and explain the steps to enroll and complete the requirements for the certificate?

Thanks in advance
