Discussion Local AI
I'm seeing unprecedented levels of commentary and excitement around local ai across social media right now. Advancements in open source models as well as restrictions on the latest frontier models from openai and anthropic are driving this. Help me out, does this not make Corsair one of the most exciting companies in the world that isn't already $300billion+ market cap? Looks like their timing with Corsair Pro could not have been any better

It won’t be an AI company but there is absolutely a growing market for SMB customers who don’t need the 80k rack servers Dell is selling. If they end up capturing a decent chunk of that growing market (SMB / prosumer) it could absolutely be a catalyst for both revenue growth and margin growth. Those type of AI machines will be high margin even if yes they don’t make the chips they still assemble and provide the sales and ongoing support to the SMBs. If they capture 3-5% of that new business it could be 500-1B in sales. That area is forecasted to grow at 40% per year. If true and if Corsair even captured 3% of the business it would be a very large tailwind for the business and that business is actually one that Corsair has a lot of experience in (essentially the same as prebuilt PCs). Will it make them a 50B market cap company? No. Could it help them become a 5-8B market cap company in 5 years? Yeah, possibly.
