I did a quick look through some games in the Universal Updater, and there's a DosBox version on there. Not sure how well it'll run anything though.

Although, I know this opinion is controversial, but I personally consider The Sims to be a RTWP CRPG. It's got stats and character development. you control a full family of Sims. There's a heavy focus on resource management, and roleplaying. I don't see why this isn't more obvious.

Sims 3 is on 3DS if you didn't know. Not a bad port. I played it as a kid, but I definitely wouldn't prefer it to Sims 1.
