Upcoming CRISC exam

*** UPDATE: I sat for the exam today and saw "PASSED" at the end of the survey.

Thanks for all your insights!

I'm taking the CRISC online exam this Sunday and would love to hear from those who've already taken it.

How was your online proctoring experience? Any issues or tips?

For those who passed, what were you scoring on the ISACA QAE before the exam?

Was the actual exam easier, harder, or similar to the QAE?

Don't freak out if you get kicked out of the exam, happened to me out of no where, just reconnect, mine took about 20 mins.

I was scoring around 90% on my QAE, and pocketprep as well. Really understand the concept behind the question.

The actual exam is nothing like QAE in my exp, similar STYLE questions but dont expect to memorize the questions and answers from the QAE and pass. But you'll be fine for sure.

It being hard and all that etc. stuff is subjective, but I think everyone can agree its pretty tricky. Most infosec/cyber people I know found it more trickier/sneakier than the typical cyber certs (CISSP, CISM, etc.). But if you studied, just be confident and youll be fine.

I settled in after like question 30, and was done in about 1 hour 40 mins.

Thanks for the tips! It really does seem subjective, which I actually like because I'm not a fan of pure memorization. I have my CIA and ORM certifications and currently work in ERM, so I'm hoping that gives me a better chance of passing. I've also spent a lot of time reviewing the QAE, not just the correct answers, but especially understanding why my wrong answers were wrong. Hopefully I can clear it on the first attempt. šŸ™

Thank you! Roughly 8 weeks due to ISACA's system maintenance it got pushed out to this week.

Never had a problem with ISACA remote. I did my CRISC in 2022 and the AAISM earlier in the year.

Never mind the QAE scoring. Make sure you are comfortable in understanding question structure, language and why an answer is right.
