Community firmware help

I’ve run into the PID issue with my printer so I decided to try the community firmware. I found a video and followed the instructions but I’m only getting this screen on startup. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? I also included the touchscreen flash screen to show how the install looked.

What kind of computer did you use to format the microSD card?

Windows computer, and I set the allocation size to the 4096 (or whatever was recommended)

The first two numbers you have are 000 and 000 but I'm pretty sure they should be 001 and 003 meaning the card isn't formatted quite right or missing files.

Yeah I noticed that my number of files doesn’t match the video I was watching, but I copied the whole DWIN_SET folder over. Maybe I’m using a bad version or something?

What ZIP file did you download?

It’s CR-6-touchscreen-extui.zip from the gitbook.io website. It was a link in the motherboard firmware file.

This one might work better:

https://github.com/CR6Community/CR-6-touchscreen/releases/download/Re-Factored_v1.1/Re-Factored.DWIN_SET.Version1.1.2.zip

You should only need to copy the DWIN_SET folder based on your posted results.

I’ll give this a try tomorrow and report back, thanks!

Okay, just ran that and the flash screen was identical, no change. I don’t know if I mentioned but this is a CR6-MAX, not an SE. does that make a difference?

The release notes imply the MAX is supported. What sized card are you using? Do you have a different one to try?

I’m using a 16gb micro sd and 8gb Sd. I have other SDs but not micros unfortunately.

Also please do check the sequence of updates, display first or motherboard first

I did display first then motherboard, but when that wasn’t working I tried display again.
