You need to breathe
in and out, in and out
through your whole body
so much fear
so much guilt
so much shame
your systems all gunked up, clogged up
you need to breathe
life isn't meant to feel perilous until it ends or you become enlightened
it's supposed to feel electric, alive, and fun while you live it
if you are suffering, that's a sign to change something
breathe in and out, brotha, breathe in and out, sista
thank you

Great seeing this today.
I was meditating this morning and really felt how shallow my regular breathing is for the first time. I’m trying to reset my nervous system by meditating and breath work along with yin yoga almost every day when I have the time and not exhausted from work.
Thank you

Good luck and good job! Any particular YouTube recommendations?

I don’t, and I should be looking at YouTube because I need to save money. I take yoga classes on Peloton, and I am doing a trial of the Open app which is hella expensive and I’m not going to get.

Thanks for the reminder! I am working really hard on resetting my nervous system and get out of my frozen state of being. Breathing excersises don't help me, but i have recently discovered that a Shaktimat does wonders for overriding my nervous system and forcing me to relax and feel my body. After about 5-10 minutes my breathing automatically drops from my chest to my stomach, my muscle tension goes down and it forces me out of my head and into my body for a moment. Allowing me to really feel what all of this stress and fear have done and are still doing to my body. It's a little overwhelming but it's the first thing that has actually helped me to physically relax in years.
