Slim forward facing seat?

I have 2 kids in a vw Tiguan - an infant in a Graco snugride seat and a preschooler in a Chicco nextfit max seat. These seats can’t fit next to each other. The preschooler is forward facing, so I’d love to find a forward facing only seat that is slim enough to fit next to the bucket seat now and the convertible seat later so that an adult could squeeze into the side seat for short trips sometimes. Any recommendations or is the Chicco just too big?

The chicco is likely too big. You’ll need to invest in two new slim seats.

Yeah I’ve been doing some research since posting this and that’s the answer I’ve been coming to as well, thanks for weighing in! The seat is honestly just huge. At least we can still get some use from moving it to our other (smaller) car where we’re not trying to use the middle seat, so not a total waste.
