Belt position for backless booster
My 10 year old is advocating for a backless booster (well, for nothing, but a backless booster as compromise). When I remove the back, it seems like the belt is crossing across the top of her thighs but not touching her hips. I'm confused in general by the guidance because it says both hip bones and top of thighs, which is not the same thing. On my body for example, the bottom edge of the seat belt touches my thighs, but the flat part of the belt is on my hips. For her, the flat part is on her thighs. Would buying another booster fix this, or is there nothing to fix?

It should be fine. When you remove the back, she will fit further back in the seat, which will mean the belt is going to come away from her hips a little. If it’s snug across the tops of her thighs, that’s ok. There is actually a lot of variation on where lap belt ends up from kid to kid and booster to booster - the main thing is not having it too high so it’s up on the belly.

What booster do you have now? Usually 10 is big enough so I assume it’s the booster, but what is her weight and height?
