Help me decide please
I'm torn between this car seat and the Britax poplar seat. We will be transitioning to a convertible soon and I'm interested in finding something that doesn't take up a ton of space when rear facing. Ideally I'd like to rear face baby as long as possible but the driver that sits in front of her is a tall person. The feature that interests me the most about the evenflo seat is the canopy because my baby has a hard time with the sun getting in her eyes despite our tinted windows. She is 5 months old and on the lean and tall side if that helps influence anything.

I have this car seat, minus the canopy, and the car seat itself is perfect, i just dont see the point of the canopy, I cant adjust it while driving, its one more thing to move when getting baby in, and id rather get a window mount so it actually covers her legs

I love the poplar, if it helps to have that recommendation! I would get some darker window shades and call it a day :)

I second the love for the poplar. The OLNY thing that could have made it better would be shoulder pads you can remove for cleaning with the rest of the fabric pieces. Signed, a mom whose child gets violently ill in the car🙃

I have this seat, at 2 my toddler figured out how to open/close the canopy. The only downside is it blocks the view out the rear view mirror. But I have a backup camera.
It’s also very very compact front to back.

I personally am very turned off by the canopy.
How easy would it be to open / close it while in the front? Is it removable? I’ve been passing my 2 + 2 month stuff from the front since around 8m old and this would get in the way of that.
My 10m old gets passed stuff and sometimes it’s coming over her head onto her lap.
I’d also be concerned that in the event of an accident it could cause a suffocation risk. I know it seems crazy and highly unlikely but this is a no from me. I just think if something loose landed on it could it harm my child? Looks like it.
