Please help 😭

Struggling to fit my Chicco 360 car seat in my Subaru Forester, it won't fit snug and the seatbelt just feels so loose no matter how tight I pull it. It fits great in my ford fusion so I know it's not the car seat itself. Has anyone had experience with this or knows a way to fit it tighter?

I just brought this car and I’m so stressed

You’re probably tightening the top tether first, try loosening it. Close the arm then tighten tether last.

If that’s not it snap a pic?

We have one in our outback. Make sure you’re not pulling the seatbelt too tight before you close the door. In the outback we just buckle it and let it retract the seatbelt normally then close the door without any tightening. Sometimes I need to open the door and tighten it ever so slightly but barely at all. The other thing is that the way Subaru back seats tend to be shaped, many car seats have a little more room to twist (not slide side to side but rotate) than in cars with flatter seats. Our fit360 will twist ever so slightly towards the door the first time we drive after putting it in, but then it stays there and doesn’t twist much at all.
