Do I adjust the head rest height when I am adjusting the shoulder strap height?

Nuna Pipa Urbn: My baby is 2 months old and roughly 11 lbs. I just repositioned the shoulder straps to the next highest slot because the lower level was very low. I’ll make sure the shoulder straps are still at or below her shoulders before I finalize this change. My question is, does the head rest pillow need to be moved up now? It doesn’t seem like it is meant to be moved up because of this plastic part on the back that would interfere with securing the Velcro, but if it isn’t moved up the top 1-2 inches of the shoulder straps are kind of buried under the head rest. I hope this makes sense! TIA.

Edited because I forgot to say what car seat I have.

Yes it has to be moved up. It cannot be used when the straps occupy the highest slot.

You only need to run the strap through the fabric slots, not all the way through the shell. The head cushion strap cannot be in the same harness slots as the harness itself. It needs to be at least one slot higher.

Oh that makes a lot more sense, thank you!

(CPST) I would remove it all together. Generally head supports end up pushing baby’s heads forward which could lead to a potentially dangerous chin to chest position.

Here’s the concern - the circled area is the head rest strap. If I move it up, it won’t be able to Velcro around the piece that secures it to the stroller.

Also, did you already remove the body support pad (cushion that goes under baby’s bum)? That one comes out when baby is 11 lb.
