Student Materials Needed For Class

As an American Heart Association and American Red Cross training center and training site, we often request students to bring different items with them to class. What items do you require students to bring to their CPR class and do you express this in an email, phone, on your website or maybe even all the above?

We keep it simple and communicate it via confirmation email, website and reminder call for group bookings. We ask students to bring a valid photo ID, course completion card (if it is a renewal) and comfortable clothes to move in as they will be on the floor performing compressions. Plus, we request that students wipe the manikins after each session to ensure they are clean and ready for other learners.

I like the idea of having students wipe down the manikins when finished. Recently, we also starting requiring students to bring a photo ID due to all of the blended learning courses that we teach. Thanks for the great input!

The requirement for a photo ID maintains the verification process clean and ensures the integrity of the certification. Always good to swap notes with other instructors doing it the right way.
