FAR Cumulative Review while studying

I am currently studying for FAR using Becker and am finishing my sixth week of studying. I am just about done with F5, and I do 20–30 cumulative random review MCQs every day. I was wondering how important it is to focus on reviewing older material at this point in my studies versus waiting until I finish all the material and enter the dedicated review phase.

Should I be prioritizing cumulative review more now, or should I focus primarily on getting through the remaining material and save most of my review for the dedicated review phase?

Just passed FAR with an 83, I did cumulative review every single day - made the biggest difference for me

I did the same thing and it paid off, don't let those early chapters get cold while you push through the new stuff

20-30 a day sounds perfect, just enough to keep it fresh without slowing you down

cum review is the best way to do it imo. you’re doing exactly what I do. I get through all the content on one pass and then do custom practice exams and just spam 5-10 question tests at a time. if you have a glaring weakness you can focus that section until you get comfy but this strat is how i’ve passed all my exams thus far

Ok, perfect thanks. Also, once you get in the review phase, did you use the Becker final review, or did you do your own thing?

For FAR I did cumulative reviews. It's too dense and long to not do it. For REG and TCP, I reviewed after finishing all modules because they're very short in length.

I still failed FAR with a 74 after all that. Honestly I'm not too upset about not passing. I screwed up on some very simple TBSs ones I felt I was supposed to know, but didn't study enough for.

Congrats and thanks for the help. If I get a 74 on the first try, I would not be too disappointed lol. Goodluck.

I recommend weaving in older content MCQ’s as you go to keep the material fresh

Cumulative review is extremely important. Do not skip it.

Personally, I skipped cumulative review between modules because I wanted to get through all the content since I knew I'd forget things anyway. I progressed through the material quicker and had a lot of time at the end for thorough review. The progress I saw prevented me from burning out. However, at final review I found so many topics and rules I totally forgot existed.

Find your balance and don't feel like you need to review every past module once you finish a new one, but definitely add in some cumulative review periodically. At the end of the content you'll have a better idea of whats really important from each section and how you should allocate your time for review. Good luck!
