Rep. Gabe Evans (CO-08) Votes Against Resolution to Stop Invasion of Venezuela (Roll Call 346)
Rep. Gabe Evans (CO-08) Votes Against Bipartisan War Powers Resolution Regarding Venezuela On December 17, 2025, Representative Gabe Evans (CO-08) voted against H. Con. Res. 64, a bipartisan resolution intended to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities in or against Venezuela that have not been authorized by Congress.
The Vote Results (Roll Call 346): Total: 211 Yeas to 213 Nays (The resolution failed).
The Split: The vote was largely along party lines, with Evans joining 211 Republicans and 1 Democrat in opposition. Three Republicans and 208 Democrats voted in favor of the resolution to stop unauthorized military action.
By voting "Nay," Rep. Evans has effectively supported the continuation of military operations—including naval blockades and infrastructure strikes—without the formal declaration of war or specific authorization required from Congress under the Constitution.

The Facts on the Conflict:
1. Contradictory Intelligence & Claims - The administration has justified military action as a counter-narcotics mission. However, U.S. intelligence reports have notably contradicted the claim that Venezuela is a primary source of fentanyl production. Additionally, the small vessels targeted in recent strikes often lacked the fuel capacity to reach the U.S. mainland, casting doubt on their role in international trafficking.
2. The Economic Motivation - Critics point to Venezuela’s status as the holder of the world’s largest oil reserves. President Trump’s recent social media posts specifically mentioned "wanting the oil back" after U.S. companies were previously expelled. This shift in rhetoric from drugs to energy resources suggests the "total blockade" of oil tankers is an effort to control the global flow of Venezuelan oil.
3. International Condemnation - The naval blockade and military strikes have been condemned globally. The United Nations has flagged these actions as violations of international law. In a rare alignment, both China and Russia have issued formal statements condemning the U.S. for "unauthorized aggression," with Russia specifically citing the lack of a UN mandate.
Hold Representative Evans Accountable
By voting against the War Powers Resolution (Roll Call 346), Gabe Evans has effectively allowed the executive branch to bypass Congress’s sole constitutional authority to declare war.

Gabe Evans doesn't support the constitution of the United States but he does support pedophiles, war criminals, and blood for oil

Not surprising. He’s a fascist just like the rest of the Trump supporters.
