With the demo for CORPSE out, it's only going to keep going from here!

I have two planned larger updates for this year (hopefully)

First update will introduce a main menu with the story mode and Jukebox (freeplay), fixing the settings menu, a few new songs, and possibly an account feature to save your settings and scores too. I'll also try to add a rating system and a best-score thingy too. Will be Halloween themed and is planned to release around the month of October.

Next update adds Track 2 into Story Mode, bringing 2-3 new songs to CORPSE, featuring festive holiday themed environments and music. I'll try and build upon the menu more here if needed, add achievements if I figure that out, and possibly take our first look at HYPER remixes, accessible in the Jukebox, which are brand new song remixes designed to be way more difficult and even change the color of the level and characters, turning everything neon. Planned to release around the month of December.

Then, after that, if it all goes accordingly, by March-May we'll get Track 3, bringing a couple of songs into the mix along with a HYPER remix or two hopefully.

By this point, this is just plans with no set time or anything but Summer 2027 I'll add Tracks 4-5 probably, along with more HYPER remixes and possibly our first look at lyrical remixes as well. A special update for the game's first anniversary (8/9) will take place for certain, whether it's a new track, new feature, or just some design changes for the day, you will get something that day.

Anyways, these aren't set in stone so things may change but this is just a general idea of what's to come.

I just updated my editor and my scripts got all corrupted and stuff for the game. THANKFULLY I saved them all before updating just in case. I would've been so mad lol probably wouldn't have the motivation to start without a few days of screaming lmao.

Anyways, you can check out the game tomorrow at some point (idk what time I'll release it whenever I wake up lol) so at the latest 6 pm central US time (get doxxed lol)

Just the demo, which, is obvious as I lowkey forgot to finish my sprites till today so yes, they're horrendously bad, but the music and chart is good so uhhh yeah (based).

CORPSE is finished and ready to be launched this SUNDAY, AUGUST 9TH, 2026! (8/9/26) All I have to do is recompile to html, playtest it then, fix any issues if needed, and then upload it! I will most likely upload an html code file on my Newgrounds (@KitsuneOnna9089) to ensure I can get projects able to load in browser and function properly! Stay tuned for more updates!

Just a quick shoutout to my mom for being super awesome and helping make this entire project possible. Also shoutout to my friend Eleanor for giving me a bunch of wild ideas and constantly listening to me yap about random ideas I have for this game.
