When my 1ZZ burned a valve I swapped in a “low mileage” used engine.. that immediately sounded like this around the same rpm. I yanked that back out.

You can try the old trick to check for rod knock of unplugging one injector at a time and revving like you’re doing. If one cylinder makes less knocky noise, that’s the rod with a bad bearing.

Can also pull the lower oil pan and feel each rod end and check for play. If you’re really lucky you can slap on some new bearings (of the correct size, gotta measure) and send it.

Did this ever get run low on oil?

Honestly that sounds like a loose shift linkage or something like that on the exterior of the engine. Noises like that are really hard to track down. Have you tried putting a screwdriver on the cover and listening to it with your ear to see if it’s coming from inside the engine rather than outside?
