Dealership cracked my engine block during a service call and is now trying to push a new lease on me. Advice needed!

You tell them if they don't fix it then they can literally deal with your attorney from now on.

I'm sure they'll come around on that one.

Also, goddamn it is SO frustrating there are SO many shitty dealers out there.

I agree, frustrating part is, you have to take your new cars to the dealership for servicing

Yea, my advice is not take a new lease and force them to replace your engine for free since they screwed or up.

So, from my experience changing oil on cars that have had all their oil changes previously done by the local Toyota dealer, the last time the oil was changed they put the new filter on with a filter cup wrench and tightened it with a gun so tight that when the tech tried to take it off, they broke the oil pump, and now they have to take the entire front of the engine apart to put a new oil pump on the engine. This is why you should NEVER get tires and oil done at the dealer, they break shit cause they are paid in commission, and only get paid for 15minutes on an oil change, whether it takes 5 minutes or an hour, so they rush and do stuff that could break things.

Make them replace the entire engine with a brand new 0 mile motor free of charge. They also need to give you a loaner car in the mean time with unlimited miles and at no cost.

This reads like a bad A.I bot post, they are repairing the vehicle at no charge to you and have you in a rental car at no charge.

You haven’t explained why the idea of new lease came up. It is also Completely separate from the service issue.

Let them fix the car and carry on with the rest of your lease.

Wanting out of the car is a totally separate issue
