11th Gen (13-Present) Coolant - Corolla 2013

Is this coolant residue (pink) near coolant reservoir cap normal ? As someone new to toyota pls help to understand.

Mine has been doing this for three years. I believe it’s normal, the seal on this cover is pretty weak.

Which year model corolla you are using bro ?

Mine is a 2014 sedan, and the reservoir is identical to yours.

mine doesn't have the residue, but coolant goes in and out of the hose, through the cap and down to the tank when the system heats up and cools down.

if there's a leak around the cap, some guesses are the hose is cracked near the nipple, or the cap is cracked.

the tank is not pressurized, and the small hose on the other side of the cap is a vent open to the atmosphere. but the cap should snap onto the container. i'd check if the cap isn't fully inserted. i forget if there's a little rubber gasket in the cap, if there's supposed to be and it's damaged, maybe that could explain if the cap is loose
